Todd S. Whiton
President & Chief Executive Officer

Todd Whiton brings seventeen years of payments industry experience to his leadership role with Capital Payments. Prior to founding Capital Payments, Todd led Pivotal Payments in July 2003 as SVP/General Manager. Previously, he held the position of Senior Vice President of Small Business Sales, Business Development and Acquisitions for Chase Merchant Services (CMS), the world’s largest merchant acquirer.

Prior to his role with Chase, Todd was a Partner at NetStar Ventures LLC, a private equity fund focused on companies in the Internet and IT sectors. At NetStar, Todd was asked to assume the CEO position at Gobi Inc., a portfolio company that represented a significant investment for NetStar. At Gobi, he was able to significantly reduce the burn-rate by outsourcing various services, renegotiate key vendor agreements, and settle outstanding obligations. Todd successfully engineered the sales of Gobi’s subscriber base to Earthlink, the nation’s largest independent Internet Service Provider (ISP), resulting in a significant return of capital to Gobi’s investors.

Additionally, Todd was SVP and GM of the Internet Commerce Group at Cardservice International, a leading enabler of merchant accounts and payment solutions to small and midsize enterprises. Under his leadership, Cardservice established strategic revenue sharing alliances and joint ventures with the Internet’s leading e-commerce providers including Microsoft’s bCentral, Lycos, Earthlink, and Dell. Todd also led corporate venturing for Cardservice where he managed several strategic investments.

Todd was an early entrant into the Internet economy joining CyberCash in January 1996 where he led sales and business development. There, his team introduced revolutionary payment technology and systems to the nation’s largest financial institutions, merchants, and development and integration partners. Prior to CyberCash, Todd was a Vice President at First Data, where he managed the sales and marketing efforts for the Retail and Direct Marketing national accounts strategic business unit.

Todd holds a B.A. in Economics from CW Post College.

 

Patricia Keller
Chief Financial Officer

Pat Keller has more than 18 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry. In early 2006, she started P Keller Strategic Solutions, Inc. a consulting firm specializing in the financial aspects of the Payments Industry. Previously, from 2001-2006, Pat was the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Credit Officer of Chase Merchant Services, LLC (CMS), a wholly owned LLC partnership between First Data Corporation and JPM Chase Bank. As the number one merchant acquirer in the United States, CMS processed more than $400 Billion in over 5 Billion transactions in 2005 for more than 300,000 merchant entities. The CFO responsibility included oversight of Credit, Accounting, Finance, and Pricing coupled with full corporate treasurer responsibilities, reporting to the Joint Board of Directors. During her 5-year tenure, the business more than doubled EBITDA, growing from $80 Million to $170 Million, with no major losses or significant audit findings. Pat was a senior member of the joint credit card association forum, which created security guidelines for merchants, card processors and card issuers.

Prior to joining CMS, Pat spent 13 years at Citigroup and was promoted through various financial positions. Her history includes: Treasurer, then VP, of Strategic Planning at the Private Label Credit Card Division, US Controller for Citicorp’s Cards Business (V/MC) when it represented 25% of all Citigroup’s earnings, then CFO for the start-up Merchant Services Business.

Patricia Keller has a B.A. in Accounting and an M.B.A. in Finance from Dowling College.

 

Craig Stokum, CPA
Senior Vice President of Business Development

Craig Stokum brings over 20 years’ experience in financial services having served in a variety of capacities including financial management, product management, sales and marketing. Prior to joining Capital Payments, Craig served as Director of Sales for RouteOne, LLC – an automotive finance technology joint venture founded by the finance arms of Daimler Chrysler, Ford Motor Company, General Motors and Toyota. In this role, he developed and serviced relationships with banks and finance companies nationwide and managed the integration of these finance companies to the RouteOne platform. Prior to RouteOne, Craig served as Business Development and Strategic Alliances Manager for the newly merged Chase/Bank One small business unit of JPMorgan Chase; a $45 billion portfolio business. During his 3-year tenure at Chase Small Business, Craig developed the bank’s CPA referral program, which included merchant services among other bank offerings and established an exclusive marketing agreement with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Craig originally joined Chase in 1994 and co-founded DealerTrack, Inc. – now a publicly held company. In this role, Craig developed the strategic vision for the business and worked in tandem with Chase Capital Partners in procuring equity investors, including Wells Fargo, Capital One, WFS Financial, and AmeriCredit Corp. He developed a go to market strategy and managed a comprehensive sales, product, and marketing strategy designed to bring the business to profitability while obtaining maximum market share. Craig joined DealerTrack upon its inception as Vice President of Product, Sales and Marketing and worked with the organization until 2003.

Craig is a graduate of Syracuse University and is a CPA and member of the AICPA and New York State Society of CPAs.

Christine Curzio
Vice President of Operations and Systems

Christine Curzio is a dynamic professional with over 19 years’ experience in the financial industry with documented results and achievements in both financial analysis and technology infrastructure.

Her broad-based experience and collaborative approach has proven effective in driving results in technology, marketing, customer implementations, account management, product development, data analysis and customer service.

She is a highly motivated and results-oriented leader with proven experience in a variety of disciplines including: technology, finance and P&L management. Prior to joining Capital Payments, Christine served as a Vice President of Stony Brook University Research. Prior to that, Christine worked with ADP as a Financial & Systems Consultant. She was able to automate their contract database system to provide intelligence for the corporation’s strategic decisions.

Prior to joining ADP, she was Systems Analyst of FXC Investors Corp, where she built and launched the corporate website by designing web layout, working closely with web programmers and compliance officers, and managing offsite data storage and business continuity planning to effectively protect business from data and computing service loss.

Before joining FXC, Christine was at Lehman Brothers for 10 years handling human resource issues, participating in numerous task force collaborations from reorganizing for long-term growth to reducing operating expenses while improving business performance and maximizing revenue.

Christine holds a Masters of Business Administration from Long Island University, New York.

Natalie Silva
Vice President - Marketing and Program Management

Natalie Silva brings a wealth of payments knowledge and insight to her leadership role in managing the Trusted Advisors program for Capital Payments, LLC. With more than 16 years of financial services industry experience, Natalie is responsible for helping trusted advisors such as CPAs, lawyers and professionals of like to implement key business expansion initiatives that increase their bottom line and enhance their client offerings through the Capital Payments AdvantageSM program. Natalie’s partners with executives to create end-to-end program management on payment advisement -- from partner training and attentive relationship management to effective marketing communications and business development strategies -- accommodates the individualized business needs of each program partner.

Prior to joining Capital Payments, Natalie was Director of Marketing at Chase Paymentech and Chase Merchant Services, with responsibilities serving the Small, Middle, and National business markets as well as channel partner clients. Her position involved numerous facets of growing Chase’s payment processing business such as packaging core products; enhancing the company brand; building communication strategies to reduce merchant attrition; and implementing cross-departmental campaigns to increase revenue. Additionally, she has held positions at JP Morgan Chase, First Data Corporation, and Home Federal Savings now known as North Fork Bank.

Natalie is a member of Women in Payments Network and the Biltmore Who’s Who Association. Natalie earned her bachelor's degree from Queens College in New York, and earned a Master's of Business Administration from The University of Bridgeport.
